In literacy 5BT has been learning about “Newspaper Reports.” In the half terms 5BT had to find newspapers (BUT IT HAD TO BE AN ARTICLE NOT AN ADVERT.)

In IPC we have been learning all about “Fit For Life.” It tells us all about how to be healthy. (Being healthy is important.) It’s not only about exercising it’s also about eating healthy too. Khadija 9.1.17

Year 5’s New Topic on Literacy
Year 5’s new book in literacy is “Oranges In No Man’s Land”. There are many sad and happy parts. The first chapter is sad and worrying! Right now they are learning about emotions so they can use it in their diary hot write. They have already written a cold write so they need to work hard and try to make their work better.

Bread Making
Last Wednesday, the year 5s went in to the dinner hall to meet a dinner lady that makes bread. She taught us how to make bread. She made the dough in a huge machine. We could make our bread any shape we wanted. Mine was a heart shaped bread. It came out so well! All our bread were delicious. by Marya
On Friday 2017, we celebrated Red nose day. The juniors wore their comfortable pyjamas. The infants wore their red clothes. We had a big assembly held by the school council. I enjoyed it and I think everyone else did too. Marya
Annon – Year 5 are learning about puberty. The children had to sign a contract to show that they will take their lessons seriously. The children did not like the images they were shown. The children kept saying ‘ewwww!’

Persuasive letters is year5’s new topic in literacy. In 5BT we already started with a cold task persuading Mr Baumring to add a swimming pool in front of the old year 3 classes. By Khadija

Fidget Spinner by Kush
A Fidget Spinner is a popular palm-size finger-spinner toy that consists of a top connected to a metal bearing that can rapidly spin when moved. Metal weights provide inertia to keep it spinning for long periods where it behaves like a gyroscope that keeps it steady and resists falling down. Fidget Spinners are often made out of plastic with metal bearings for the spinner. adults focused by doing a simple activity. It can also relieve stress. Unsubstantiated claims have also been made about it being useful for people with ADHD that often need to do two or more things at once in order concentrate on a specific task.
What 5BT is doing in ICT
In 5BT we do Google Sketch Up. It is fun and it helps us in learning. It keeps us inspired. You can also do it at home. Today (Which is Monday 12th of June) we had to make a house. We could place anything we wanted for example, a swimming pool and a jaquzi. By Khadija

TODAY 5BT HAD MR HANSTOCK TEACHING THEM LITERACY FIRST LESSSON. THEY HAD TO WRITE A PASSAGE ABOUT THEMSELVES. AFTER THAT, MR PATADIA DID MATHS WITH THEM. AND FINALLY, THEY HAD MISS POPE DOING A GRAMMAR TEST WITH THEM.
